Dehradun, 18 Sep: The Territorial Army will be celebrating its Platinum Jubilee in October 2024. To commemorate the occasion, 127 Eco Task Force of the Territorial Army located here organised a special plantation event, “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam”, at Devi Danda, Kasyali on 17 September.
A total of 10,000 saplings of mixed varieties were planted. As many as 250 villagers from Kasyali, Khobra, Bissi, Chopra and Banchuri village, students of Govt Inter College, Banchuti, and 100 troops of 127 Eco Task Force participated in the event.
The participants were encouraged to adopt a tree and were also told about the importance of sustaining environmental health and combating climate change. 127 TA battalion also organised a lunch for the participants after the event.
