Sahiya, 1 Apr: The first Jaunsari feature film, ‘Mere Gaon ki Baat’, to be made under the banner of Sumikal Production, was launched in Fatio Village of Jaunsar Bawar on the occasion of the birth anniversary of senior litterateur and renowned theatre personality, the late Ratan Singh Jaunsari.
This is a historic occasion when a film based on the customs, traditions and historical background of Jaunsar Bawar is going to be made.
On this occasion, Chief Guest and IRS officer Ratan Rawat said that the folk culture, customs, tradition of Jaunsar Bawar are world famous and it is a commendable effort to showcase it through a film. He said that late Ratan Singh Jaunsari worked continuously in the field of literature and culture of Jaunsar Bawar.
On this occasion, Joint Director, Information, KS Chauhan said that this first Jaunsari film will be shot in Jaunsar Bawar so that people will become aware about the culture, customs and historical sites of the region. The film is based on the Jaunsari dialect and all the actors working in it are also from Jaunsar Bawar. This feature film will prove to be a milestone for Jaunsar Bawar.
IFS officer Pratap Singh Pawar said on the occasion that it is a commendable effort to promote culture through folk art. He said that the production of this picture film will open the doors for tourism in Jaunsar Bawar. Retired Additional Director General of Indian Coast Guard, Kriparam Joshi said that this film will prove to be effective in taking the traditions of Jaunsar Bawar, the collective family and all the things here to the country and abroad.
Writer and director of this first Jaunsari picture film, Anuj Joshi said that this is a touching film on the culture of Jaunsar Bawar. After watching it, people will be able to understand Jaunsar Bawar, and the people of the region will feel proud after watching this film.
The main actors are Abhinav Chauhan, Priyanka, Shrichand Sharma, etc.
On this occasion, Joint Director, Information Department, KS Chauhan, Dr Amar Singh Rai, Bharat Chauhan, Cameraman Harish Negi, Abhishek Mandola, folk artists Sitaram Chauhan, Ajju Tomar, Atar Shah, Bachchan Rana, Chatar Singh, Sitaram Sharma, Mohar Singh, Shyam Singh, Ankit Semwal, Surendra Rana, Virendra Bisht, Kunwar Singh, Santram Kunwar, etc., were also present.
