Dehradun 1 Apr: Former Chief Minister and outgoing MP from Haridwar, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ claimed today that the country is steadily moving towards Ram Rajya under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nishank was addressing a press conference, here, today. Taking a potshot at the opposition, he claimed that, on the one hand, there are those who are saving the corrupt and nepotists, on the other hand there is PM Modi who is eliminating corruption and nepotism from the country.

Dr Nishank asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the image of the country in these 10 years through his miraculous achievements. In 2014, the public was filled with excitement as soon as his name came up for PM. He worked with the philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” for 5 years, after which, taking it forward, the Government also implemented “Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas”. Presently, a huge difference is evident in terms of development, public welfare and the reputation of the country. Modi Government has done much more work in 10 years than what the Congress governments could do in 50 years. Nishank, who was the Union Education Minister when the New Education Policy was implemented, reminded that Uttarakhand was the first state to implement the new Policy in the country. He said that the new education policy will lay the foundation of a golden India. The country has also seen that era of Congress, in which the world did not take India and its PM seriously. Today, the opinion of Modi and India is very important on every important global issue in the world. Today, Indians living in any corner of the world are completely safe, and the government has worked hard to protect not only its own citizens but also the citizens of other countries.

Referring to the Ambulance Service EMRI 108, he said that this initiative taken in Uttarakhand when he was the state’s health minister was later adopted by the country and the world. Similarly, Ayushman Yojana is working to save the lives of more than 8 lakh people. He said that the government has worked to improve land, road, rail, air and water connectivity and has also managed to reach the Moon. Dr Nishank said that, today, PM Modi is ensuring free ration to 80 crores poor people in the country. Schemes like provision of free cylinder through Ujjwala Yojana, arrangement of housing to the homeless, providing free electricity and water, transparent appointment process, Mudra Loan Sandhi Scheme, and innumerable other schemes have helped the poor and the common person to improve quality of life.

Nishank reminded that he was given the responsibility of preparing the manifesto for the assembly elections, and is happy to note that young Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has done the work of fulfilling most of the resolutions. He has helped the people by giving three free cylinders per annum to the poor, providing record employment to the youth through a transparent recruitment process. Nishank also reminded that the 500 year wait for the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple has ended under the leadership of Modi. The BJP had vowed to build a temple there, given the date and also showed to the world how the grand temple was built. He added that, in line with the dreams of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and of those who sacrificed their lives, BJP abrogated Article 370 from Kashmir. Every apprehension of the opposition in this regard proved to be groundless. Describing the rally of INDI Alliance held in Delhi as a jalsa, he said that, on the one hand, under the leadership of Modi, BJP is moving forward to remove corruption and nepotism from the country, on the other hand, people who are saving the corrupt and nepotism are gathering to save their sinking political careers. Speaking about the allegation that the Modi government is putting Opposition leaders behind the bars, he said that if one has not done anything wrong then why fear investigation? If there is evidence of innocence of those in jail, then then why are they not getting bail from the court? The country is seeing that the opposition has neither any policy nor any vision. On the other hand, under the leadership of PM Modi, the country has set out on the journey of becoming developed by 2047.

Expressing confidence, Nishank asserted that this time also the people of Uttarakhand have made up their mind to ensure BJP’s victory on all the five seats by a margin of Rs 5 lakhs on each seat. Today all the parties are becoming devoid of leaders as most of the relevant leaders wish to join BJP.  During the press conference, State BJP Treasurer Puneet Mittal, State Media In-charge Manveer Chauhan, State Spokesperson Suresh Joshi, Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor, Co-Media In-charge Rajendra Negi, Manik Nidhi Sharma and Sanjeev Verma were among those present.
