MUSSOORIE, 4 Nov: Sixteen teams will converge on Woodstock School, here, for the 20th Win Mumby All-India Basketball Tournament. The championship starts on 6 November and concludes on 9 November. This year, the participating boys’ teams are: The Asian School, Dehradun; The Doon School, Dehradun; Kodaikanal International School, Tamil Nadu; Modern School, New Delhi; Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai; Shiv Nadar School, Noida; Welham Boys School, Dehradun and Woodstock School, Mussoorie. The girls’ teams are: Delhi Public School, New Delhi; Kodaikanal International School, Tamil Nadu; Modern School, New Delhi; Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai; Step by Step School, Noida; Shiv Nadar School, Noida; The Shri Ram School, Gurgoan and Woodstock School, Mussoorie. The Modern School’s boys’ team will seek to defend last year’s championship title, which was their fifth consecutive win. Motilal Nehru School of Sports will defend their win in last year’s tournament in the girls’ section. The competition will include an opening Pep Rally featuring Woodstock’s Pep Band in the Quad. Woodstock’s Head of Sports Ajay Mark says: “It’s the twentieth Win Mumby Tournament this year and we’re looking forward to seeing some excellent basketball and sportsmanship over the coming days. More than 200 people from across India will be joining us here, and it’s always a pleasure to meet new people who share our passion for basketball, and give them a taste of life at our school.”
