215 youths given appointment letters under Nationwide Employment Initiative

Dehradun, 24 Oct: Nearly 51,000 appointment letters were distributed today across the country to newly recruited candidates across various government departments and organisations as part of the nationwide Rozgar Mela organised under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The appointment letters were handed over through virtual medium, and the Prime Minister addressed the new recruits during the event held simultaneously at 40 different locations across India.

As part of this, a Rozgar Mela was organised at the Survey of India Auditorium, Dehradun, where Chief Postmaster General of the Uttarakhand Postal Circle, Shashi Shalini Kujur, participated as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, appointment letters were distributed to 215 newly recruited youth. The selected candidates included 59 Dak Sahayaks (postal assistants) and Dak Sevaks appointed in the Uttarakhand Postal Department, 14 appointees in the Railways, 81 in the Central Armed Police Force, 19 in the State Bank of India, 41 in Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited (THDC), and one in the Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Postmaster General congratulated the newly appointed candidates and wished them a bright and successful career. She called upon them to perform their duties with sincerity, efficiency, and integrity and to contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation. She remarked that the Rozgar Mela reflects the Prime Minister’s resolve to accord the highest priority to employment generation and youth empowerment. She expressed confidence that such initiatives would continue to serve as a catalyst for expanding employment opportunities and strengthening the participation of youth in the nation’s development process.

Also present on the occasion were Director, Postal Services, Uttarakhand Circle, Anusuya Prasad Chamola, Chief Welfare Officer Anil Kumar Saini from the Railways, Assistant Commandant Arvind Khanduri from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Chief Manager Rajiv Kumar Singh from the State Bank of India, HR Officer Jharna Dalai from THDC and the officers and employees of the Postal Department and other organisations.
