Dehradun, 30 May: FC Doon is organising the ‘2nd Gorkha Cup Football Championship 2019’. The organisers include former international football players CB Thapa and Suresh Gurung.
The tournament begins on 1 June and concludes on 10 June. The venue will be the Gorkha Military Inter College, Garhi Cantt. The technical adviser and chief referee is Virendra Singh Rawat. It will have the support of the Uttarakhand Football Referee Association.
The participating teams are Group A – FC Doon;
Keserwala Blaster FC; Loco FC; New Basti FC; Dehradun Football Academy (DFA); Group B – Doon Valley FC; JBC FC; Gorkha Boys FC; Vijay Cantt FC; Western Boys FC ‘B’; Group C –
Garhwal Sporting FC; Balawala Youth FC; Raipur XI FC; Western Boys FC ‘A’; Group D – Wills Youth FC; Sampatras FC; Gypsy Young FC; Chandramani FC and Roorkee XI FC.
The opening matches on 1 June will be between JBD FC and Gorkha Boys FC, along with Vijay Cantt FC and Western Boys FC ‘B’.
The referees will be Gopal Thapa, Prakash, Surendra Payal, Pravin Rawat, Aman Jakhmola, Amit Kant, Anil Rawat, Narendra Nanda. Dilbar Singh Bisht will be the Match Commissioner.
