Dehradun, 30 Dec: Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has cancelled the recruitment tests conducted by it in three categories of recruitments. The recruitments held for the posts of Forest Sub-Inspector, Secretariat Guard and VDO/VPDO have been cancelled.  It has been decided to re-conduct the examination test for these posts.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the UKSSSC GS Martolia confirmed that legal opinion has been also sought on 8 other recruitments conducted by the UKSSSC in the past few years.

The 3 recruitment examinations conducted earlier by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, which were investigated by the STF for possible rigging, have been cancelled. The opinion that has emerged is that it may not be possible to differentiate between the innocent candidates and the candidates who had used unfair means to get access to the leaked question papers and, therefore, it would be appropriate to hold the examinations again.

On the other hand, legal opinion is being taken regarding the 8 other recruitment examinations which were conducted by the Commission. As a result of the discussion, the commission would take specific decisions regarding the further course of action on these examinations.

Sources added that, for the post of Assistant Teacher LT, the Recruitment Examination held in 2020 (Postcode-481), the records verification was being conducted. For the post of Graduate Level Examination held on 5 December, 2021, also the process of records verification was underway. It may be recalled that the results of this test had been declared on 7 April, 2022.  On the other hand, for the post of Forest Sub-Inspector, the examinations were held from 16 July till 25 July 2021 and the results were declared on 8 January, 2022.

For the post of Secretariat Guard, the examination was held on 26 September, 2021 and the results were declared on 22 April, 2022. There are allegations of leakage of question papers, copying of the answers and use of other unfair means to get selected. During the investigation and deliberations by the STF, there were clear indications that the sanctity of these tests had been polluted and the results had been tempered with.

During the deliberations of the Special Task Force, cases of leak of question papers and use of “other unfair means” in the said examinations have come to light, for which corroborative proof has also been received. It is clear from this that the sanctity of the above examinations has been polluted.
