Haridwar, 5 Jan: On the occasion of the 32nd Foundation Day of Patanjali, the Founder President of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Swami Ramdev, and General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna, called upon the descendants of sages and seers to contribute to building a supremely prosperous and developed India through service to Yoga, Ayurveda, Swadeshi, Sanatan Dharma, Sanatan education, Sanatan medicine, Sanatan research, Sanatan agriculture, Gau Mata, and Bharat Mata.

On this occasion, Swami Ramdev said that Patanjali has become one of the world’s most sacred institutions and a force for the welfare of humanity. He stated that the soul of Patanjali is the soul of Sanatan. He urged students studying in Patanjali’s various educational institutions to take pride in Yoga, Ayurveda, Swadeshi, Sanatan Dharma, Sanatan education, Sanatan medicine, Sanatan agriculture, and the Sanatan way of life, and through these awaken limitless knowledge, devotion, and immense inner strength. He reminded everyone that they are descendants of sages and seers, and that the qualities of sages, divinity, Brahman, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Hanuman, Shiva, and the essence of the Vedas should manifest through their lives.

The Swami said that the day the full potential of Patanjali Gurukulam, Acharyakulam, universities, and the Indian Education Board is realised, India’s currency will surpass the dollar, pound, and euro. The value of the Indian way of life, Indian standards, culture, festivals, and even the Indian passport will increase across the world, and people from nearly 200 countries will not need visas to visit India.

He further stated that over 2 to 2.5 billion people across the world who believe in Sanatan values are emerging, and gradually 80–90% of the global population will follow Sanatan. He emphasised that India must be made a supremely prosperous nation through courage, valor, and strength. He remarked that a strong and prosperous India would make Pakistan and Bangladesh tremble. He also termed the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife by US President Donald Trump as undemocratic.

Swami noted that currently Indian students go abroad to countries such as the United States, Canada, Britain, Europe, Australia, and Russia for education, but today Patanjali Gurukulam has become a global centre of attraction. The goal, he said, is to bring at least 15,000–20,000 students from nearly 200 countries to study at Patanjali Gurukulam, Acharyakulam, and Patanjali University. In the next phase, all branches of education will be established under Patanjali Global Gurukulam and Patanjali Global University. He asserted that Sanatan Dharma will become a global spiritual practice, the Sanatan way of life will become the global way of life, the Indian Education Board will provide new education to the world, and Yoga, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy will emerge as global systems of medicine.

Addressing the gathering, Acharya Balkrishna elaborated on Patanjali’s journey from the establishment of the trust to overcoming various challenges, struggles, and storms while continuing its service activities. Highlighting Swami Ramdev’s unwavering dedication, he said that this vast service mission was driven by Swami’s vision, and that he himself felt fortunate to be a part of this journey.

Acharya said that Patanjali’s service journey has been marked by many struggles and fluctuations, yet it has consistently moved forward. He noted that along the way, more supportive forces emerged than those who tried to obstruct it. He stated that Patanjali’s progress over the past three decades in the fields of education, health, agriculture, and research was not easy. He added that due to Patanjali, FMCG companies were compelled to restrain excessive price increases.

He pointed out that Patanjali has carried out several historic initiatives without government support. Speaking about agriculture, he said that Patanjali was the first institution to run organic farmer training programs in 19 states. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi selected 22 progressive farmers, five of them had been trained by Patanjali. Acharya Balkrishna also highlighted the impact Patanjali has had through products such as cow ghee and others, and strongly criticized those spreading misinformation about Patanjali, stating that the more attempts are made to suppress it, the faster and more powerfully the movement will grow.

Students from Patanjali’s educational institutions presented impressive demonstrations of Yoga, Mallakhamb, wrestling, martial arts, boxing, judo, and karate. On this occasion, responsibilities were also assigned to service-oriented individuals at the organizational level.

The program was attended by heads and officials of various Patanjali units, yogi warriors from different Patanjali organizations, sannyasis and sadhvis, karmayogis, students and teachers of Patanjali educational institutions, and many others.
