38th National Games: Special Training Camp inaugurated in Koti for Water Sports

New Tehri, 3 Dec: As part of the preparations for the 38th National Games, a 15-day special training camp for Canoe Sprint and Rowing was inaugurated in Koti, here, today. A total of 74 players and coaches from the state are participating in this camp.

The event was attended by BJP General Secretary Uday Rawat, District Development Officer Aslam, DSO, Tehri, Deepak Rawat, Nodal Officer Mukesh Sharma, Senior Coach Jaiveer, and Deputy Commandant Ashutosh Bisht. All the dignitaries motivated the players and encouraged them to perform better in the games.

The aim of this training camp is to strengthen players both technically and mentally so that they can bring glory to the state in the upcoming National Games. Expert coaches are overseeing the training of the players to enhance their skills in water sports like Canoe Sprint and Rowing.

The players participating in the camp consider this opportunity a major responsibility and a source of inspiration. They mentioned that training at a natural venue like the Tehri Lake will further refine their sporting skills.

Tehri Lake, considered an ideal location for water sports, serves as the main centre for this camp. Experts believe that such facilities not only prepare players for excellent performance but also help the state gain national recognition in water sports.
