Dehradun, 24 Apr: Four officers in the School Education Department, who were recently promoted from Joint Director to Additional Director, have been assigned new postings. The proposal submitted by the department was approved by the departmental minister, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat. With this, all four officers will now take charge of their respective new responsibilities.
As per the directions of Education Minister Dr Rawat, the promotion process of senior officers in the department was completed through a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC). Accordingly, Meharban Singh Bisht, Kunwar Singh Rawat, Padmendra Saklani, and Parmendra Kumar, who were serving as Joint Directors, were promoted to the post of Additional Director.
Following their promotion, a proposal for new postings against vacant positions of Additional Director was presented to the minister and subsequently approved. As per the new assignments:
Meharban Singh Bisht has been posted as Additional Director, Secondary Education, Kumaon Division. Kunwar Singh Rawat has been posted as Additional Director at the Directorate, along with the additional charge of Additional Director, Elementary Education.
Padmendra Saklani has been assigned as Additional Director, SCERT. Parmendra Kumar has been appointed as Additional Director, Secondary Education, Garhwal Division.
Dr Rawat expressed confidence that the experience and efficiency of these officers will accelerate departmental work and further strengthen the education system.
“Four officers promoted from Joint Director to Additional Director in the Education Department have been assigned new responsibilities. Their appointments will speed up departmental work and help further strengthen the quality of education,” stated Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, School Education Minister.
