4th session of ‘Confluential’ held at St George’s College

DEHRADUN, 14 April: The fourth session of ‘Confluential’ was hosted at St George’s College on Saturday with the objective of learning from narratives of struggle, success and significant experiences.

The Guest Speaker, Jai Raj (Retd IFS), was warmly welcomed by the members of the Student Council and the School Band.

The prayer was led by Vaibhav Joshi. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Jai Raj, Brother PU George and Principal, Brother Ramesh Amalanathan.

Kanav Agarwal introduced the Guest Speaker. Jai Raj was welcomed with a planter and a memento as a token of appreciation.

In his address to the students, he said that passion must become profession. According to Jai Raj, the world has many opportunities and the task of the individual is to identify one’s passion and take up a career in that field.

The guest speaker also elaborated on the importance of time and said that one should take care of the minutes for the hours to take care of themselves. Jai Raj also spoke about how happiness should not depend on external forces. The switch of happiness must always remain in our personal control.

After the speaker had answered all the questions raised by the House, the event

came to an end with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Yogesh Agarwal.

The fourth session of Confluential was successfully conducted under the supervision of Brother Amalanathan, Brother Shaju Thomas (Vice-Principal), Brother PU George (Superior), Brother Isidore Tirkey (Sports Secretary), Bhavnesh Negi, Mark Gonsalves, PD Jaiswal, Juliana D’Souza, Stormy Hazarika and Pallavi Goel.
