DEHRADUN, 28 Jan: Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotism at Brooklyn School.
The celebration began with the flag hoisting by Principal Manju Grover, which was followed by singing of the National Anthem. A soulful presentation of the group song, ‘Hum Rahte hain Aagage Jaha Jawa Kadam’, was done by the students of classes IV & V. Anushika Chauhan of class I recited the poem, ‘Hum Bache Hindustan Ke’.
The thought provoking poems by Aradhya Nath and Anshika Rawat on the significance of this momentous occasion and the remarkable presentation of the ‘patriotic mashup dance’ by the girls of class IV, Apeksha Thapa, Tanvi, Apeksha Uniyal, Snehal, Shivni and Akshita, and the energetic dance presented by the girls of classes IV & V, Kairvee, Palak, Vasundhara, Anushka, Anshika, Deepika, Vibuti and Riya Saini, left the audience speechless.
The Principal motivated the students to uphold the honour, integrity, uniqueness and diversity of India’s culture and identity. The programme was anchored by Anshika Rawat and Akshi Handa of class VI-B.
