DEHRADUN, 28 Jan: The 70th Republic Day was celebrated at The Himalayan Public School with patriotic zeal and fervor. School Chairman Dr Aditya Arya, Treasurer Ayush Vardhan Arya, eminent guests, Principal Neena Singh, Director, Administration, Col VS Mall, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
The programme commenced with hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. School Captains read the pledge to serve the nation with honesty and dedication. Students expressed their patriotism through speeches, poems and touching patriotic songs. The auditorium was beautifully decorated with tricolour ribbons, balloons, flowers and flags enhancing the patriotic environment.
The School Principal addressed the gathering and urged citizens to perform their duties honestly. The School Chairman proposed the vote of thanks.
