Dehradun, 1 Apr: Dr Himanshu Aeran is to take on a new national responsibility as a full-time Member (Assessment & Rating) of the National Dental Commission.
Dr Aeran was accorded a farewell by the Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University family, here, today.
The programme witnessed a large presence of faculty members, staff, and students from every department of the university. As Dr Aeran arrived on the stage, he was welcomed with garlands and flowers.
In his address, Dr Himanshu Aeran described his 18-month tenure at the university as “an unforgettable journey infused with patriotism and the spirit of nation-building”. He acknowledged that the collaboration and support from colleagues across diverse academic disciplines made this short yet impactful tenure a powerful and inspiring chapter.
A key highlight of the event was the address by Dr Krishna Murti, Executive Officer of Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University. He described Dr. Aeran not just as an administrator, but as a visionary leader, a mentor, and a transformative force for the institution.
He stated, “The commitment, transparency, and sense of national service with which Dr Aeran has guided Subharti will remain a lasting source of inspiration for all of us. We pledge to carry forward his vision and take the university to new heights. We will work with full dedication to realise his dream of making Subharti the number one institution in the world.”
Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Desh Deepak, in his address, said that Dr Aeran provided the university with new direction, fresh energy, and a clear national vision. He termed his leadership as “a remarkable example of commitment, foresight, and excellence,” and wished him great success in his future endeavors.
Registrar Khalid Hasan highlighted that Dr Aeran’s tenure became synonymous with administrative transparency, discipline, and efficiency. The Dean, Academics, emphasised that his academic vision laid a strong foundation for the university’s continuous progress.
Heads of various departments shared their experiences, recalling memorable moments spent with Dr Aeran. Each department presented him with mementos, symbolising his invaluable contribution and enduring bond with the university.
