Guwahati, 12 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today visited the renowned Kamakhya Devi Temple in Guwahati, Assam, where he performed traditional rituals and offered prayers. During the ceremony, he sought blessings from Goddess Kamakhya for the happiness, prosperity and good health of the people of Uttarakhand. He also prayed for the continuous progress, development and well-being of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
It may be recalled that Dhami today participated in the oath taking ceremony of Himanta Biswa Sarma as Chief Minister of Assam. This event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a large number of NDA Chief Ministers, union ministers and senior BJP functionaries. The BJP has won a decisive mandate for the third time in Assam and Sarma has become the Chief Minister for the second time.
