DEHRADUN, 6 Jun: All forms of attachments of teaching and non-teaching staff in the Higher Education and Technical Education Departments of Uttarakhand will be discontinued. In addition, employees currently serving on deputation in various institutions and departments will be recalled to their parent postings. Necessary directions have been issued to departmental officials in this regard.
State Higher Education and Technical Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that a large number of teachers and employees in both departments are presently working on attachment or deputation in colleges, universities, and other departments instead of their original places of posting. This has adversely affected both academic activities and administrative functioning in government colleges and polytechnic institutions.
Rawat stated that, following the model adopted in the School Education Department, the attachment system in the Higher and Technical Education Departments will also be abolished. He directed officials to terminate all such attachments and ensure that the concerned teachers and employees return to their original postings before the commencement of the annual transfer process.
He emphasized that the State Government’s objective is to ensure a balanced, transparent, and efficient utilization of human resources across all educational institutions. This will help provide students with a better academic environment and improve the overall effectiveness of institutional functioning.
The Minister further directed officials to review all cases of deputation and take prompt action to return employees to their parent departments or original places of posting wherever necessary.
