Dehradun, 11 Jun: Following the BJP victory in the Narendranagar Municipal Council elections, Cabinet Minister and local MLA Subodh Uniyal described the mandate as a victory of the people and a reaffirmation of public faith in the politics of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to Garhwal Post, the minister observed that the victory in Narendranagar is dedicated to the Prime Minister and expressed confidence that, on the strength of the same public trust that is reflected from the win in Narendranagar, the BJP would return to power in Uttarakhand in the next Assembly elections with over 50 seats.

Uniyal said that since entering public life, he has consistently received the support, affection and blessings of the people of the Narendranagar Assembly constituency. He noted that whenever the BJP has fielded a candidate in the region, the electorate have extended overwhelming support and they ensured the candidate’s victory. He said he would always remain grateful to the people of the constituency for their continued trust and confidence in the party and its leadership.

Uniyal further stated that Uttarakhand would play a significant role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat and asserted that the BJP government would continue its efforts to take the state’s development to new heights. He said the government remained committed to accelerating growth, strengthening infrastructure and ensuring that the benefits of development reached every section of society.

Responding to a question regarding an incident involving alleged misconduct by a woman during the election campaign, Uniyal said that in a democracy the final verdict rests with the people and that the electorate had now delivered its decision. He remarked that the outcome of the election reflected the public mood and reaffirmed faith in democratic processes.

The minister said his entire focus would now be on the comprehensive development of the Narendranagar Assembly constituency. He added that BJP workers across the state would continue to work with full commitment and dedication to ensure the party’s return to power in Uttarakhand in the next Assembly elections. He expressed confidence that the party’s development-oriented governance and the continued support of the people would help it secure another decisive mandate in the state.
