Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat to inaugurate

Dehradun, 11 Jun: State Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat will be on a two-day visit to the Kumaon Division. During his tour, Dr Rawat will lay foundation stones and inaugurate various development projects in Almora District. He will participate in programmes organised at Government Degree College, Talla Salt, and Government Postgraduate College, Ranikhet, where he will inaugurate newly constructed buildings. He will also conduct surprise inspections of various educational and cooperative institutions in the district. Additionally, Dr Rawat will address a press conference in Almora marking 12 years of development, trust, and public welfare initiatives under the Central Government.

Cabinet Minister and Minister-in-Charge of Almora District, Dr Rawat stated that he would be touring the Kumaon Division on 11 and 12 June. On Friday, he will attend several programmes across Almora district, including the inauguration of the newly constructed Commerce Faculty building at Government Postgraduate College, Ranikhet. Following this, he will address a press conference commemorating the completion of 12 years of the Central Government’s development and welfare initiatives.

He said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has completed 12 years in office. During his Kumaon visit, Dr Rawat will also conduct inspections of various educational offices, colleges, technical institutions, and cooperative societies.

Earlier, on the final day of his three-day tour of the Srinagar Assembly constituency, Dr Rawat interacted extensively with residents in Dumnikot and Paton, listening to their concerns and issues. He also inaugurated the asphalt paving work of the Gantakhal–Kathukhal Motor Road, completed at a cost of Rs 230.93 lakh, and laid the foundation stone for the Devradi Sports Ground project, estimated at Rs 25 lakh.

Furthermore, at Bungidhar, he held a meeting with officials including the Divisional Forest Officer of Pauri, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Thalisain, and representatives of the Doodhatoli Vinsar Charitable Trust. The meeting focused on the land transfer process for the Vinsar Mahadev Temple, and Dr Rawat issued necessary directions to the concerned officials.

After the meeting, Dr Rawat proceeded to Salt in Almora district, where he attended a programme at Government Degree College, Talla Salt, and inaugurated the college’s newly constructed academic building.
