CM Dhami highlights achievements of Central, State Govts at Khatima event

Khatima, 14 Jun: State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during his three-day visit to Khatima, participated as the Chief Guest in a “Jan Jan ki Sarkar, Jan Jan ke Dwar” programme organised at ‘Shaheed Hari Kishan Shikshan Sansthan, Bagulia, on Sunday. The Chief Minister was given a warm welcome at the programme with flower garlands, Tharu cultural dance, and a shawl. The District Magistrate presented a Panchmukhi Hanuman picture made by women of the self-help group. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Minister by lighting a lamp.
At the programme, the Chief Minister inspected stalls set up by various departments and inaugurated the Didi Cafe, run by Sadbhavana CLF under the Gramothan Project, by cutting the ribbon.

Addressing the residents of the region at the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has entered a new era of development, good governance, and public welfare. He said that in recent years, the central government has taken historic decisions in the interest of the poor, farmers, women, and youth, giving the country a new direction.
The Chief Minister said that schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi, free ration, Ujjwala Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission have brought positive changes in the lives of millions of people. He said that the double-engine government has effectively controlled corruption through transparency and technology and has ensured that the benefits of schemes reach the public directly.

The Chief Minister added that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working for the overall development of the state. Rapid development work is being carried out in the areas of education, health, roads, drinking water, tourism, and air connectivity. He said that the state government has taken a historic initiative by implementing the Uniform Civil Code and has secured the future of the youth by implementing anti-copying laws.
He said that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against corruption in the state and transparency has been ensured in recruitment processes. The Chief Minister stated that the state government’s objective is to extend the benefits of development to the last person in line, and the “Government of the People, at Your Doorstep” programme is a means to strengthen this resolve.
Describing the people of Khatima as his family, the Chief Minister said that the government is working with full commitment for the development of the region and that no shortage of development work will be allowed in the future. He called on the people of the region to participate in the resolve to make the state the best state in the country.
District Panchayat President Ajay Maurya, welcoming the Chief Minister in his address, said that the Dhami government is working with full sensitivity and commitment to quickly resolve the problems of the people of the state. He said that the Chief Minister is sensitive to the problems of not only the people of Khatima, but of entire Uttarakhand, and gives top priority to public welfare.
He said that Khatima under the Chief Minister’s guidance, even the smallest problems in the area are being addressed with seriousness. Matters requiring resolution at the government level are immediately brought to the Chief Minister’s attention to ensure their speedy resolution.
Ajay Maurya said that under Chief Minister Dhami’s leadership, development work has gained new momentum in Khatima and the entire region. Remarkable work is continuously being carried out in the areas of roads, health, education, drinking water, and infrastructure, directly benefiting the general public.
At the event, the Fisheries Department awarded Sanjeet Kumar Rs 180,000 and Pardeshi Rai Rs 120,000 for the construction of an ornamental fish unit. The Agriculture Department benefited Shashikant Verma Krishi Samadhan Samiti Sajni of Rudrapur, Srijan Self Help Group Khatima, Radha Self Help Group, Matiha Sitarganj with a grant of Rs 7.12 lakh for setting up a farm machinery bank on 80 percent subsidy and the Autonomous Cooperative Golu Self Help Group Bhagchuri Khatima with a grant of Rs 9.18 lakh and distributed chemical fertilisers to 22 farmers. Assistive devices were distributed to 10 people by the Social Welfare Department. 5 women were benefited by the Janani Suraksha Yojana by the Health Department. Under the Pt. Deen Dayal Yojana, loan cheques of Rs 1 lakh per person at zero interest rates were distributed to 8 people by the Cooperative Department.
On this occasion, Anil Kapoor Dabbu, Ranjit Singh Namdhari, Kishan Singh Kinna, Municipal Council President Ramesh Chand Joshi, District Panchayat Member Sagar Singh Dhami, former MLA Prem Singh Rana, President of Nagar Panchayat, Nanakmatta, Prem Singh Turana, Member of Parliament’s Representative Ravindra Rana, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadoria, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, Additional District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police Uttam Singh Negi, along with many public representatives, officials and the public were also present.
