New Delhi, 14 Jul: The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd), received Major General N Srinivasa Rao (Retd), President of the National Soldiers’ Organisation, Telangana State, and his wife, Anuradha Rao, at Uttarakhand Sadan, here, today.
During the meeting, Major General Rao briefed the Governor on the organisation’s welfare initiatives for veterans in Hyderabad and across South India. He also highlighted its efforts for the welfare of war widows and mothers of fallen soldiers, assistance to disabled veterans, and initiatives aimed at promoting public awareness about military life.
The meeting also included discussions on the organisation’s future plans and programmes. The Governor appreciated the organisation’s efforts toward the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
