New Delhi, 5 Aug: Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav has informed Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt that Ayurveda facilities are being expanded nationwide, with 6,302 Primary Health Centres, 3,191 Community Health Centres and 475 District Hospitals already co‑located with AYUSH services. He highlighted that the Ayurveda Research Institute at TadiKhet in Ranikhet is playing a significant role in advancing research.
Jadhav explained that under the National AYUSH Mission, States and Union Territories receive financial assistance where AYUSH teaching institutions are inadequate. He said the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences is operating a key research centre in Uttarakhand through its peripheral unit at Ranikhet. He added that the Government’s policy of co‑locating AYUSH facilities in PHCs, CHCs and District Hospitals enables patients to access different systems of medicine at one place.
He further stated that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare supports appointment and training of AYUSH doctors and paramedics under the National Health Mission, while the AYUSH Ministry provides infrastructure, equipment, furniture and medicines. By December 2025, thousands of centres had been co‑located across the country. Jadhav emphasised that the Ministry is promoting evidence‑based integration of AYUSH with mainstream healthcare through standardisation of clinical practices, capacity building, research collaboration and public health initiatives.
