Dehradun, 19 Aug: A grand celebration of national pride, artistic expression, and student leadership unfolded at The Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar, Dehradun, as the school hosted its annual Inter-House Patriotic Singing and Dance Competition alongside its solemn Investiture Ceremony. The event brought together students, faculty members, and esteemed guests to celebrate patriotic spirit, cultural heritage, artistic talent, and the values of responsible student leadership.
The occasion was graced by DS Negi, former Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC, as the Chief Guest.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by the Principal of The Montessori School. The atmosphere soon turned vibrant as students representing the four houses presented soul-stirring patriotic group songs and dynamic dance performances. Through powerful choreography, melodious renditions, and energetic presentations, the students beautifully showcased the spirit of national unity, patriotism, and pride.
The highlight of the occasion was the Investiture Ceremony, marking an important milestone in the school’s student leadership journey. DS Negi pinned badges on the newly appointed student leaders and conferred their sashes. The newly appointed Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, and Prefects took a solemn pledge to uphold the values, discipline, traditions, and ethos of The Montessori School with integrity, dedication, and responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, Negi commended the students for their patriotic zeal and emphasised the importance of responsibility, humility, perseverance, and discipline in effective leadership.
The event concluded with the declaration of the winners of the Inter-House Patriotic Singing and Dance Competition, followed by the distribution of prizes and certificates. Aravali House emerged as the Overall Trophy Winner of the Patriotic Singing and Dance Competition, showcasing outstanding talent, teamwork, and spirit throughout the event.
The programme was a memorable celebration of patriotism, creativity, and leadership, reflecting The Montessori School’s commitment to nurturing confident, responsible, and well-rounded young citizens.
