CM interacts with sages in Haridwar

Haridwar, 22 Aug: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in a programme organised at Shri Brahm Nivas Ashram, Saptsarovar Road, Bhupatwala, to mark the 51st Nirvan Diwas of Satguru Lal Das Maharaj. Addressing the gathering, the CM said that Satguru Lal Das Maharaj had devoted his life to spirituality and had inspired people to walk on the path of service, truth and devotion. His words carried immense strength and his vision reflected boundless compassion. He had united society with the message that service is the greatest religion. On this occasion, the CM also asserted that his government is fully determined to preserve the sanctity of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
The CM asserted that the blessings of sages and the grace of Satguru are a matter of fortune. The Sant Samaj has always contributed to the protection of religion, culture and the nation, and their guidance continues to inspire society to move forward on the path of faith and culture. He added that India is witnessing a golden era of cultural renaissance, with the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Corridor and the Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain, while special attention is being given to the development of religious sites in Uttarakhand. The reconstruction of Kedarnath, devastated in the 2013 disaster, was carried out under the guidance of the Prime Minister, and under the Mandir Mala Mission temples across the state are being rebuilt and beautified.
Dhami said ropeway projects for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib are underway, which will ease access to difficult pilgrimage sites and make travel more convenient, especially for elderly devotees. Development works such as the Ganga Corridor in Haridwar, the Rishikesh Corridor, Aastha Path and the enhancement of Sharda and Yamuna ghats are also progressing. He emphasised that preserving the sanctity and original identity of Devbhoomi is the government’s priority, ensuring a clean, safe and spiritual environment for pilgrims while taking strict action against illegal constructions and activities affecting the cultural fabric.
The CM also mentioned the establishment of the Hindu Studies Centre in Dehradun to promote research in religion, culture and knowledge. Recalling the Prime Minister’s words from Kedarnath that the third decade of the 21st century will be Uttarakhand’s decade, Dhami said the state is moving towards self‑reliance and aims to be among the leading states in the fields of faith, development, innovation and knowledge.
On the occasion, Satguru Chetananand Bhuriwale praised the continuous service of the institution, which has been organising uninterrupted food distribution for 57 years. He also lauded the CM for implementing the rules and laws that are being followed across the country.
