Union Health Minister and Chief Minister inaugurate cath lab

DEHRADUN, 13 July: Union Health Minister, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the digital radiography and mammography along with the first government cath lab at Doon Medical College on Thursday.
In his address, Dr Mandaviya described Pushkar Singh Dhami as a capable Chief Minister and said that under his efficient leadership, new paradigms of development are being established in the state, along with health facilities in other areas as well. He said that people from all over the country come here for the Chardham Yatra in the state. Everyone has faith in this region of Ganga. He said that the kind of health arrangements that have been made by the Government of India for the Amarnath Yatra, the same kind of health facilities and other arrangements have been made for the Chardham Yatra also, due to the efforts of the Chief Minister. He said that the state government is working fast for the development of the state. All possible help will be provided by the central government in the development works of the state government. He said that Uttarakhand is moving ahead with the development works being done in the state and is playing an important role in the development of India.
The Union Health Minister said that till two decades ago there was only one AIIMS for 100 crore people in the country, but today AIIMS established in Rishikesh is providing excellent health facilities to one crore people of Uttarakhand, similar to the facilities of Delhi AIIMS. He said that if any country has to become a developed country, then the citizens of that country must be healthy. If the citizens are healthy then the society becomes healthy and only a healthy society can build a prosperous nation.Minister Mandaviya said that in India, Prime Minister Modi has provided free treatment facilities for 12 crore people in the country under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. About 70 thousand students in the country have been going abroad for medical studies. Before 2014, there were 54 thousand medical seats in the country, this number has doubled in the last year. 700 medical colleges have been established in the country and 157 nursing colleges have been made. From AIIMS Rishikesh, the facility of fluid and sample testing has been made through drones. Services of specialist doctors are being made available in telemedicine.
Chief Minister Dhami thanked Dr Mansukh Mandaviya for giving a gift to Dehradun in the field of health by dedicating the ICU complex, cath lab, digital radiography and mammography in Doon Hospital. He said that a healthy body should be the main aim of life. This is what our culture believes in. With this in view, our government has focused its attention on strengthening the “public health” infrastructure in the state. Today, under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is continuously moving forward in the field of health like other sectors.
Addressing the program, State Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that the Union Health Minister has assured approval of 500 crore for health facilities in the state and also 500 crore for setting up a satellite center of AIIMS Rishikesh in Udham Singh Nagar. The Union Health Minister has also given consent for 4 nursing colleges in the state. He has also agreed to set up a Cath Lab in the Srinagar Medical College for better health facilities during the Chardham Yatra. This will facilitate the passengers as well as the local public. He said that Uttarakhand is included in the 10 states of the country in the development of health facilities.On this occasion Union Minister of State for Health Professor SP Singh Baghel, Member of Parliament Naresh Bansal, MLA Khajan Das, Savita Kapoor, Brijbhushan Gairola, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Shankar Pandey, Secretary Health Dr R Rajesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor Medical University Prof Hemchandra, Additional Secretary Health Namami Bansal, Amandeep Kaur, Director General Health Dr Vinita Shah, Director Medical Education Dr Ashutosh Sayana, Director Health Dr Sunita Tamta and other departmental officers were present.
