DEHRADUN, 30 Dec: The National Pediatric Surgery Day was celebrated at Himalayan Hospital Jollygrant on Friday. On this occasion, doctors informed people visiting the hospital about the management of congenital deformities in infants.
On Friday, the Pediatric surgery department of Himalayan Hospital organised an awareness programme. Addressing the attendees, Chief Medical Officer Dr SL Jethani stated that this day is observed to raise awareness about safe surgical options for afflicted children. He mentioned the presence of a team of specialist doctors and modern equipment at the hospital. The hospital‘s medical professionals have successfully performed several neonatal surgeries in the past.
Department head Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh provided information about the need for pediatric surgery. Dr Yaser Ahmad Lone, Dr Ayesha Naz, explained various types of pediatric surgical procedures. On this occasion, Dr Shalvika, Dr Saurabh, Dr Rishabh, Dr Deepak, and Nursing supervisor Sister Mani also gave needed information to the attendees.
