Dehradun, 8 Aug: At a time when the budget session of the Parliament is underway, ministers and BJP leaders from Uttarakhand are making a beeline to make courtesy calls on Union Ministers and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After cabinet ministers Dhan Singh Rawat, Ganesh Joshi, Subodh Uniyal and former CM Tirath Singh Rawat calling on either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Home Minister Amit Shah, the most powerful minister in the Modi Cabinet, today it was the turn of former CM and current MP from Haridwar Trivendra Singh Rawat to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rawat discussed with the Prime Minister several contemporary topics related to the culture and concerns of Uttarakhand, as also political matters.

Following his meeting with PM Modi, Trivendra Singh Rawat later posted on his X Account that he was fortunate to get the opportunity to meet the world’s popular leader and India’s most successful Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today.

Rawat also stated that he presented Prime Minister Modi a muffler made on the theme of Badri Kedar designed by Himalayan Threads, an initiative of his elder daughter, Kriti, made from pine needles (locally called pirul). The Prime Minister expressed great happiness on seeing such a beautiful use of Pirul and congratulated him. In his post, Rawat also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting time to him despite being very busy.

Each time, a minister or a BJP leader meets either Modi or Shah, political speculation about some possible political development coming up goes viral. As per the political commentators, the major reason behind this kind of speculation is the fact that Uttarakhand has not seen political stability and since the formation of the state, ND Tiwari remains the only CM to have completed his tenure as CM.
