Dehradun, 19 Aug: On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan today, at the official residence of Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, women personnel of Uttarakhand Police tied rakhis on Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi’s wrist and wished him a long life. Women police personnel applied Tilak on his forehead and fed him sweets. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also presented gifts to the sisters from the police.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi extended his heartfelt wishes to all the people of the state on the auspicious festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, a symbol of immense love and trust between brothers and sisters. He said that this festival not only strengthens the relationship between brothers and sisters, but also promotes family values and mutual harmony in society. He said that the festival of Raksha Bandhan teaches us that we should always be ready to protect and respect our loved ones.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that this festival also reflects the values of cooperation, dedication and intimacy inherent in Indian culture. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also wished Raksha Bandhan to the people of the entire country and the state.
While talking to the media, he said, “I have been organising Rakhi events for the last 19 years, but this year, due to the death of my nephew, this grand festival could not be organised. Women police personnel posted in Dehradun from remote areas like Chamoli, Bageshwar have tied Rakhis on my wrist. As a brother and public servant, I wish them a bright future.”
On this occasion, the National Vice President of BJYM, Neha Joshi, was also present.
