Mussoorie, 29 Aug: Former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated a dental clinic, here, today. On this occasion, while talking to journalists, he said that the allegations made by the independent MLA on the state government in the Uttarakhand Assembly should be investigated, and the government and MLAs should come forward and refute it. He said that the law and order in the state has completely failed – the police should work fearlessly. He said that the Uttarakhand Police should learn from the neighbouring state where criminals or anti-social elements are being crushed.
Commenting on the statement of independent MLA Umesh Kumar about toppling the government for Rs 500 crore, Rawat said that the people of Uttarakhand are honest and live within their limits in the entire country. He said the allegation is a serious matter. He expressed surprise that no MLA has denied it either inside or outside the house, nor did the government deny it. However, the MLA who raised this question in the house is neither trustworthy, nor experienced, nor does he have anything to do with the concerns of Uttarakhand. But the question has been raised in the assembly, which has become a part of the proceedings of the House, so he should be held accountable. Rawat urged the government to resolve the matter soon. It would have been better if the Assembly Speaker had asked for proof in such a situation. This has raised questions on the credibility of 70 MLAs of the state.
Trivendra Rawat also raised questions about the intelligence services of the state. He admitted that crimes are increasing in Uttarakhand and the police is not doing its work properly. It seems that criminals from the neighbouring state are taking refuge in Uttarakhand. They should be made to fear the state’s police.
He praised the budget of the central government and said that schemes have been made for youth, women and poor. The dream of a permanent house for those who do not have a home will come true. Special provision has been made for senior citizens above 70 years of age under Ayushman Yojana. At the same time, the government started a pension scheme for government employees and fulfilled their demand. The central government has made special provision in the budget for Uttarakhand and other hill states, which is important.
On this occasion, BJP Mussoorie Mandal President Rakesh Rawat, former Municipal President OP Uniyal, former BJP District President Shamsher Singh Pundir, District Panchayat Member Veer Singh Chauhan, former Mandal President Mohan Petwal, Vijay Ramola, Madan Mohan Sharma, Rajendra Rawat, Arvind Semwal, Meera Saklani, Pushpa Padiyar, Anita Pundir, Aryan Dev Uniyal, Satish Dhoundiyal, Amit Bhatt, Amit Panwar, Dharampal Panwar, etc., were present.
