Dehradun, 3 Oct: The ‘Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust’ launched its Publications Division at Dr Balbir Singh Sahitya Kendra, Punjabi University Centre, here, today. Present were Maharaj Jodh Singh of Nirmal Ashram, Trust Chairman Narendra Jit Singh Bindra, Dr Paramvir Singh, Dr Kulwinder Singh, and other prominent representatives from Punjabi University.
The Publications Division aims to promote literary works on spirituality, human values, and the rich history of the Sikh community. This platform will provide opportunities for writers to publish their works free of cost, fostering knowledge sharing and community engagement.
To mark this occasion, the Trust released its inaugural publication, a compilation of Dr Balbir Singh’s compositions and writings on his 50th death anniversary. This seminal work showcases Dr Balbir Singh’s profound thoughts and reflections, providing valuable insights into Sikhism and Indian culture.
Chairman Narendra Jit Singh Bindra stated, “This initiative will help preserve and disseminate the cultural heritage of the Sikh community, while promoting values of equality, justice, and compassion.”
The Trust’s endeavours include: – Managing the sacred yatra to Shri Hemkunt Sahib – Providing free boarding and lodging in seven Dharamshalas across Uttarakhand – Operating a boarding school for underprivileged students – Daily langar sewa at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh.
Maharaj Jodh Singh praised the Trust’s selfless service, saying, “This Publications Division will strengthen the Trust’s mission to spread love, peace, and knowledge.”
Dr Paramvir Singh and Dr Kulwinder Singh commended the initiative, highlighting its potential to promote research, education, and cultural exchange.
The Publications Division’s first book launch marks the beginning of a new chapter in promoting spiritual and cultural understanding.
