Muslims of Mussoorie condemn tea-spitting incident, seek strict action against perpetrators

Mussoorie, 9 Oct: The Muslim community has come to know through social media that a case has been registered against a resident of Muzaffarnagar for making tea by spitting in a vessel and serving it to tourists in Mussoorie. The community strongly condemned the act. They have requested the administration to strict action against those responsible. It was asserted that the community has nothing to do with any such outsider. Nobody should be allowed to spoil the atmosphere and brotherhood of Mussoorie, it was stated.
Mussoorie CO Anuj Arya said that both the accused have been arrested by the police. No person has the right to spoil the mutual harmony in Mussoorie. He said that a verification campaign will be run on a large scale in Mussoorie soon and action will be taken against those who have come without verification.

On this occasion, the Mussoorie Traders’ Welfare Association President Rajat Agarwal, General Secretary Jagjit Kukreja, Manzoor Ahmed, Shahid Manzoor, Ayub Sabri, Shoaib, Islam, Bilal, Asif, Parvez, Salman, Tahir Ahmed, Mohsin, Sajeeb, Rashid, Riyaz Ahmed, Muntiyaz Ali and many others were present.
