Jal Vayu Towers celebrates Durga Puja with devotion

Dehradun, 15 Oct: The Durga Puja celebrated at Jal Vayu Towers, Jhajra, concluded in a ceremonial immersion at Vikas Nagar, fostering a renewed sense of community cohesion. Adherents conveyed their appreciation for the blessings of Goddess Durga as her idol was immersed with profound reverence and devotion. The customary observance of Sindoor Khela was marked by fervour, as women presented Sindoor to the Goddess and adorned one another with it, embodying themes of love, reverence, and abundance.

The Durga Puja celebrations at Jal Vayu Towers, Jhajhra, took place with great enthusiasm, drawing significant community participation. The inauguration of the Durga Puja was done by Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri. Astami Puja was attended by Director General, Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, Dr Durgesh Pant, and Navami Puja was attended by Sahaspur MLA Sahadev Singh Pundir.

The Chief Guests discussed the vital role of Sanatan Dharma in shaping the cultural ethos and urged the community to involve children in the preservation of these rich traditions. Community and youth involvement is a key pillar in keeping cultural traditions alive for future generations. The four-day event underscored the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting community involvement, especially among the younger generation.

The Puja Samithi organised cultural events involving ladies and children, and Dandia. On the day of Dashami, Jagrata was also organised. The gathering was also attended by Swagat Chattopadhyay, Arup, Sudhir Jain, Dr Tanupriya Chaudhary, Saumitra, Debashish, Salil, Dr Vinay Kandpal, Debajyoti, Amit Das, Abhishek Ranjan, Samar, Mahua, Rituparna, Himani, Renu Kandpal, and Sarita Bhandari.
