Rudraprayag, 14 Nov: In the context of the Kedarnath Assembly byelection, Minister, Soldiers’ Welfare, Ganesh Joshi, participated as the Chief Guest in an Ex-Servicemen and Paramilitary Conference held at the temporary election office in Agastyamuni.
The conference, organised in support of BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal, saw the participation of ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary personnel, and Veer Naris from various soldiers’ organisations. Hundreds of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris were present at the event.
During the event, Minister Ganesh Joshi appealed to the ex-servicemen and Veer Naris to vote for BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal in the upcoming by-election. In response, the ex-servicemen and Veer Naris unanimously pledged their support for the BJP. The event was chaired by retired Captain Hari Singh. Additionally, ex-servicemen welcomed Minister Ganesh Joshi with a grand floral garland.
In his address, Minister Joshi spoke with pride about the valour of the Indian Armed Forces. He emphasised that Uttarakhand is a “land of heroes”, with every family being connected to the military. He expressed his immense pride in the Indian Army, which ensures the safety and security of the nation. Minister Joshi also praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for always working to boost the morale of the military. He highlighted that, on special occasions such as Diwali, Holi, and other important days, the Prime Minister personally celebrates with the soldiers.
The Minister also mentioned the significant initiative of ‘One Rank, One Pension’, which, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, has enhanced the morale of the armed forces. He further stated that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, being the son of a soldier and a former soldier himself, is committed to the welfare of soldiers and their families.
Joshi also recalled Prime Minister Modi’s statement from Kedarnath, where he declared that the third decade of the 21st century would be “Uttarakhand’s decade”. Under this vision, several schemes for the welfare of soldiers and their dependants are being implemented in Uttarakhand, ensuring their benefit.
Minister Joshi also appealed to the gathering to support BJP for the development of the Kedarnath constituency. The local MLA, Bharat Chaudhary, also addressed the gathering and urged voters to support BJP in the by-election.
Other prominent personalities present at the event included Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Chaudhary, District President Mahavir Panwar, Election In-Charge Aditya Kothari, retired Colonel Ajay Kothiyal, retired Captain Hari Singh, Event Organiser and Ex-Serviceman Prem Singh, Senior BJP Leader Dan Singh Rawat, State Coordinator of the BJP Soldiers’ Wing Shamsher Bisht, and a large number of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris.
