The film is set to release on 5 December in Dehradun, and from 6 December, it will be showcased in Vikasnagar. In Vikasnagar, the film will be screened at the New Upasana Theatre, while in Dehradun, it will be shown at the Centrio Mall.

The film has been in the making for over a year, with shooting completed in four phases from April to July. A unique aspect of the film is that all the artists are from the Jaunsar Bawar region.

On 25 November, the film had its censor screening, at which the members of the censor board were highly impressed by the portrayal of Jaunsari culture. The first teaser of the film has already been released, and it has generated great excitement among the audiences in Jaunsar Bawar, Jaunpur Rawai, and Himachal. The film sensitively depicts the concepts of joint family, respect for women, and cultural traditions of the region.

The film is presented by KS Chauhan, produced by Ayush Goyal and Abhinav Chauhan, and directed by renowned director Anuj Joshi. The lyrics are by Shyam Singh Chauhan, and the songs are sung by Sitaram Chauhan, Ater Shah, Ajju Tomar, Meena Rana, Parima Rana Sitara, and Abhinav Chauhan.

The lead roles in the film are played by Abhinav Chauhan, Priyanka, Amit Chauhan, Aakriti Joshi, Balm, Vikram, Jeet Singh Chauhan, Madhubala, and Shri Chand Sharma, among others. The child artists Tanisk and Arushi also feature in the film. After its release in Vikasnagar and Dehradun, the film will be shown in Delhi, Shimla, Paonta Sahib, and Haridwar.

“This is a historic moment for Jaunsar Bawar as it marks the release of its first-ever film, “Mairai Gaon Ki Baat”, for which the poster has already been unveiled. Looking at the history of regional cinema, in 1931, the first Hindi film Alam Ara was released, followed by the first Garhwali film Jagwal in 1983, and the first Kumaoni film Megha A in 1987. In 2024, Jaunsar Bawar’s first film, “Mairai Gaon Ki Baat”, is ready for release on 5 December,” states Padma Shri awardee Premchand Sharma.
