Dehradun, 15 Dec: A meeting was held today at 1- Inder Road, here, in the memory of the late Justice SHA Raza, the first Lok Ayukta of Uttarakhand and President of Abbas Tayabji Educational and Charitable Trust, Dehradun Chapter.
The meeting was initiated by Col MK Hussain (Retd), who narrated Raza’s life history and his services in the field of justice in full detail.
President, Dehradun Chapter of Abbas Tayabji Educational and Charitable Trust, Brig KG Behl (Retd) also narrated his interactions with Raza in his capacity as Lok Ayukta. Behl recalled how he resolved various problems put up by the Doon Citizens and of Consumer Forrum.
Dr Daljit Kaur, former Principal of DWT College, Dr Shivani Pathak, Educationist, and M Arif, Secretary, Lok Ayukta, also spoke about his contributions.
At the end, Dr S Farooq, National Vice President, Abbas Tayabji Educational and Charitable Trust, also recalled Raza’s valuable services to the general public. The programme ended with Dua rendered by the Shahar Qazi.
The programme was conducted by Dr RK Bakshi, Secretary, Abbas Tayabji Educational and Charitable Trust.
