Dehradun, 20 Dec: Brooklyn School celebrated its annual Christmas event here, today. with great enthusiasm and joy, marking the festive season with a remarkable array of performances and activities. The event brought together students, teachers, and parents in a celebration of the holiday spirit.

The celebration commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting by Principal Manju Grover. A variety of performances by students from different classes showcased their talents and creativity.

Classes IV to IX dazzled the audience with a mesmerising choir performance featuring Christmas carols such as “Silent Night”, “Joy to the World”, “Jingle Bells”, “Merry Christmas”, and “Mary’s Boy Child”. The soulful melodies echoed through the school halls, bringing a true sense of Christmas cheer.

The Nativity Play performed by the students of class IX, depicted the timeless story of Christmas, while the younger students of classes I and II captivated everyone with their energetic dances to festive tunes including “Jingle Bell” and “Wish You a Merry Christmas”. Udyanjile Ranghar’s speech on Christmas to find joy in simple things, to value relationships and to contribute to the happiness of those around was appreciated by all.

The arrival of Santa Claus, portrayed by Aditya Rawat from class IX, was a highlight of the day, bringing excitement to the children and spreading festive joy. Assisted by Pradyuman Sahu, also from class IX, Santa distributed sweets and gifts, ensuring that every student felt the magic of Christmas.

Children from the Playgroup, Nursery, and KG classes dressed as angels and little Santas added a charming touch to the scene, embodying the joyous spirit of Christmas.

The diverse range of participants showcased immense talent who included Aanshi Agarwal, Aaradhya Adhikari, Aaradhya Kumar, Aarav Thapa, Adi Akhtar (King), Aditya Rawat (Santa), Afreen Khan, Ananya Samtha, Ananya Tiwari, Ansh Dobral, Anshika Kohli, Arpit Singh, Arpita Nautiyal, Ashi Rajvanshi, Avni Rawat, Bhavya S Panwar, Delisha Negi, Drishti Verma, Ishita Gurung, Kanika Negi (Angel), Keshav Dhyani (Shepherd), Khushi Negi (Mary), Lakshyata, Manav Kanwal, Maryum Kausar, Mehak Aslam, Niyati S Negi, Pari Chopra (Shepherd), Poona Lodhi (Owner), Pradumon Sahu, Priya Bahutey (Owner), Saahil Bhandari, Saloni Upadhyay (Angel), Samarth Negi, Samriddhi Rana, Shivansh Dhyani, Shivay Sharma, Swastik Khatri, Tejasvi Jakhmola, Uday Shukla, Vaibhavi Bhandari, Vaishnavi Arya, Vaishnavi Negi (Angel), Vanya Bisht, Vedika Patel, Vipin Upadhyay,  Vyom Rawat, Zaid Ansari (Joseph), Zoheb Siddiqui (Shepherd), Anushka Chauhan and Anushka Singh.

Principal Manju Grover expressed her heartfelt wishes to everyone during her speech, emphasizing the importance of togetherness and celebrating joy in unity. Director Nitin Grover also addressed the students, highlighting the significance of values like compassion, love, and community spirit during this festive season.

The event was compered by Kartik Joshi of class 8 and Kairvee Jhouta of class 11. The event concluded with a Festive Cake Cutting by Principal Manju Grover with all the members of the School’s Dramatics (co-curricular) Club and the staff.
