CM participates in ‘Amar Ujala Samvad’ in Doon

Dehradun, 10 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the ‘Amar Ujala Samvad’ programme held at a local hotel here today. Here he commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He described Modi’s 11-year tenure as Prime Minister as a golden era that has inspired both India and the world.
The CM claimed that the PM has showcased India’s commitment to development on the global stage, with its influence being visible across sectors. He emphasised that under Modi’s leadership, development initiatives have gained momentum in hill states such as Uttarakhand.

Dhami asserted that Uttarakhand is fast emerging as a global attraction, with numerous destinations drawing tourists from India and abroad. He also claimed that the state government is fully prepared for the future, ensuring all development projects proceed in a planned manner.
He reminded that, at the NITI Aayog meeting, he had stressed on the need for tailored schemes and policies for hill states, considering their unique geographical and economic challenges. The CM also noted that the government is formulating initiatives while keeping the ‘floating population’ in mind.

Dhami further emphasised the need for optimum balance between ecology and economy in Uttarakhand’s development plans. Referring to PM Modi as ‘Ganga Putra’, Dhami praised Modi’s efforts in enhancing Uttarakhand’s spiritual and tourism image, including the promotion of winter tourism from Mukhba.
Additionally, he asserted that the state government has implemented a stringent land law to safeguard Uttarakhand from the land mafia and preserve its geographical identity, assuring that investor interests remain unaffected. He also highlighted Uttarakhand’s distinction as the first state in India to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
Dhami also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to minimising disaster impact and preserving the demographic composition of ‘Devbhoomi’ through strict action against encroachment. He made it clear that the state’s essence would remain uncompromised.
