Astronauts are today’s Superheroes

Dehradun, 19 Aug: Ravi Kumar Verma, a scientist from ISRO’s Space Applications Centre, said that today’s real superheroes are astronauts, who go beyond Earth and proudly carry the flag of humanity and science even in zero gravity.
He was addressing the students of Graphic Era University today. Delivering a lecture on “Indian Launch Vehicles – Past, Present and Future,” he said that India has achieved an extraordinary position in the field of aerospace technology, where even limited resources open doors to limitless possibilities. Despite being a developing country, India now stands among the leading powers of the world. Historic achievements like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan are our pride stories, while the future of India holds the courage to create new milestones in space science through AI-driven rockets and smart satellites. Through his presentation, Ravi Kumar Verma introduced the students to the fascinating world of space science, where rocket technology and satellite launch processes take India’s scientific brilliance to new heights.
The conference was organised by the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed University. On this occasion, Head of the Department Dr Sudhir Joshi, along with Dr Vijay Kumar Patidar, Dr Chandra Kishore, Dr Alok Kumar, Dr Kumar Gaurav, other faculty members and students were present.
