NEW DELHI, 4 Sept: RS MP Anil Baluni made a courtesy call on President Droupadi Murmu, on Thursday. His wife Deepti was also present on the occasion.
During the discussion, the President expressed deep sorrow over the natural tragedy caused by excessive rainfall and cloudburst in the entire country including Uttarakhand. She enquired about the condition of the people affected by the disaster in Uttarakhand and also about the relief and rescue operations. She expressed deep condolences to the people who lost their lives in this disaster and prayed to Lord Badri Vishal to give strength to their families to bear this unbearable pain.
“Despite occupying the highest constitutional post in the country, the ease with which the President’s motherhood overflows is a matter of pride for India’s power tradition. Her affection towards a common citizen like me definitely makes me grateful to her,” stated Baluni.
