Shimla, 24 Sep: Three Arts Club, the oldest theatre group of Delhi with roots in Shimla since 1943, proudly returns to its birthplace in collaboration with Katyayani to mark a special occasion — the 102nd birth anniversary of the evergreen legend, Dev Anand.
Titled ‘Dev Anand – A Storytelling and Musical Tribute’, the programme will be staged at the Heritage Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, on 26 September at 5:30 p.m.
Researched, written, directed, and narrated by Sohaila Kapur (niece of Dev Anand), the presentation features Hindi transcreation and co-narration by Nidhikant Pandey, and soulful renditions by singer Devanand Jha. The production is presented by Anuradha Dar, producer and theatre enthusiast, carrying forward the legacy of Three Arts Club.
The evening promises to weave together stories, nostalgia, and music that celebrate Dev Anand’s enduring charm and his unmatched contribution to Indian cinema. For Three Arts Club, this event is not only a heartfelt tribute but also a symbolic homecoming — reconnecting with Shimla, where its artistic journey first began more than eight decades ago.
Donor Passes: ₹300 (Seats) | ₹500 (Box) are available at Brews & Books Café, Opposite Tourism Lift, Shimla. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
