Graphic Era hosts career counselling week, students sounded on new trends

DEHRADUN, 15 Nov: Experts at Graphic Era guided students about the changing professional landscape, emerging sectors, and new opportunities.
A Career Counselling Week was organised at Graphic Era Deemed University. Addressing the programme as the chief guest, Scientist Sibashisa Dash from the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, said that the nation needs to strengthen its scientific research framework, encourage innovation, and enhance India’s global collaborations in the fields of science and technology.
Chief Manager of BIRAC, Government of India, Poonam Singh advised students to take part in innovation-based projects, develop research skills, and become active contributors to the startup ecosystem.
Under the Career Counselling Week, students received training sessions including mock interviews, personality development, body language training, and placement preparation.
The event was organised by the Department of Food Science and Technology at Graphic Era Deemed University. Pro Vice Chancellor Santosh S. Sarraf, Registrar Naresh Kumar Sharma, Department Head Vinod Kumar, Clinical and Army Dietician Deepshikha Garg, along with other faculty members and students, were present at the event. The programme was hosted by Saloni Joshi.
