Dhami, Subodh Uniyal & Ganesh Godiyal condole passing away of Diwakar Bhatt

Dehradun, 25 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today expressed profound grief over the demise of senior statehood agitator and former Cabinet Minister Diwakar Bhatt. The CM prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to endure this irreparable loss. In his condolence message, he said the news of Bhatt’s passing is deeply saddening, adding that his contributions from the days of the statehood movement to public service will always remain unforgettable.

Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal also conveyed deep sorrow over the passing away of Bhatt, describing him as a valiant warrior of the Uttarakhand statehood movement and a visionary leader whose sudden demise is heart-rending. Uniyal said that Uttarakhand has lost a dedicated agitationist and a determined personality. He also noted that Bhatt’s role in the creation of a separate Uttarakhand was unparalleled and inspiring, and that he always placed the interests of the state above everything else while setting an example in public service. He added that Bhatt’s life was a symbol of struggle, dedication and unwavering commitment to the state, which the people of Uttarakhand will always remember with respect.

Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Ganesh Godiyal also expressed grief, stating that Bhatt’s death is an irreparable loss to the state. He recalled Bhatt’s emphasis on public welfare, social justice and development, as well as his simplicity, affable nature and lifelong dedication to service.
