CM launches ‘Meri Yojana’ Portal and Guidebooks for easy access to Govt schemes

Dehradun, 10 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in a seminar on the ‘Meri Yojana’ guidebooks prepared by the Programme Implementation Department, Uttarakhand, held at the IRDT Auditorium, Survey Chowk here. On this occasion, he also launched the Meri Yojana Portal Uttarakhand (myscheme.gov.in).
The CM stated that through the three editions of this important scheme guidebook, “Meri Yojana,” “Meri Yojana – State Government,” and “Meri Yojana – Central Government”, the citizens of the state can easily access complete information about all Central and State Government schemes and avail their benefits. He said that the efforts made in the direction of the objective with which these books have been published are proving fruitful, adding that the Government’s goal is the effective implementation of schemes on the ground and ensuring their benefits reach every eligible person in the state in a time-bound manner. These books not only provide beneficiaries with comprehensive information about the schemes but also give applicants details regarding the application process, required documents, and eligibility criteria.
Dhami reminded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established a new work culture in the country, prioritising transparency, accountability, and people-centric policies. He said that today the benefits of public welfare schemes are transferred directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The State Government is also continuously working to resolve public issues with the mantra of Saralikaran (Simplification), Samadhan (Solution), Nistaririkaran (Disposal), and Santushti (Satisfaction). A system has been put in place to ensure that funds for various pension schemes provided by the Social Welfare Department are credited directly to the accounts of every eligible person via DBT.
The CM asserted that schemes formulated keeping various segments of the state in mind are being operated effectively. He said that while efforts are underway to develop modern infrastructure in all major sectors such as education, health, roads, sports, drinking water, and air connectivity, rapid progress is also being made to realise the dream of a developed India and a developed Uttarakhand through initiatives like ‘Vocal for Local,’ ‘Make in India,’ and ‘Startup India.’ He added that the Government is working on several important schemes to promote the local economy and tourism in the state.
Dhami further stated that efforts are being made to strengthen the state’s local economy through initiatives such as the ‘State Millet Mission,’ ‘Farm Machinery Bank,’ ‘Apple Mission,’ ‘New Tourism Policy,’ ‘New Film Policy,’ ‘Home Stay,’ ‘Wed in Uttarakhand,’ and ‘Solar Self-Employment Scheme.’ He appealed to everyone that souvenirs presented at various events should be products manufactured within the state to promote local products and livelihoods. He said such small efforts would encourage artisans, women, and craftspeople, adding that whenever he attends a function or meets dignitaries across the country, he always presents local products of Uttarakhand as gifts.
Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal observed that this is a commendable effort aimed at ensuring people benefit from Government schemes. He said that an integrated portal would allow eligible people to easily avail the benefits of all Government schemes, describing it as a great example of the spirit of Antyodaya (upliftment of the poorest). Secretary Programme Implementation Deepak Kumar stated that the main objective of the Programme Implementation Department is to deliver schemes and services to beneficiaries in a simple manner. He informed that Central and State Government schemes are being disseminated through the three editions of Meri Yojana, with a special focus on eligibility and the process for schemes.
Also present on the occasion were MLA Khajan Das, Vice Chairman of Setu Aayog Rajshekhar Joshi, public representatives, and officials from various departments.
