Dehradun, 12 Dec: The state’s Medical Health and Family Welfare Department has appointed 10 more specialist doctors. Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat has approved the new postings of these specialists belonging to the PMHS cadre. After completing their postgraduate courses, these specialists have been deployed to various hospitals across the state based on their expertise. The appointment of these specialists will further strengthen the health services in Uttarakhand and ensure better medical care for people in remote and rural areas.
The state government is working to address the shortage of specialist doctors. Along with expanding specialist services in medical units, the government is continuously deputing specialists so that quality healthcare can be provided to people at the local level. As part of this, the Health Department has now received 10 more specialist doctors. These include 2 each in MD Pathology and MD Community Medicine, and 1 each in MD Medicine, MD Anaesthesia, DNB Family Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Ophthalmology. After completing their postgraduate courses, these doctors have returned to state service, and their new postings have been approved by Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat. According to their specialisations, they have been assigned to vacant positions in various medical units located in remote regions of the state.
The postings are as follows:
Dr. Neha Kalpasi and Dr Ayushi Chauhan – District Hospital, Pithoragarh; Dr Vikas Thaledi – Community Health Centre, Gairsain;
Dr Jaishankar – Sub-District Hospital, Srinagar; Dr Anuradha Hayanki and Dr Srishti Bharti – Community Health Centre, Chaukhutia; Dr Anurag Agarwal and Dr Deepak Sharma – Sub-District Hospital, Kashipur; Dr Chetan Agarwal – District Hospital, Rudraprayag; Dr Snehi Kalyal – Base Hospital, Haldwani.
“The state government is committed to meeting the demand for specialist doctors at the local level. Specialist doctors are being continuously deployed in medical units. As part of this, the Health Department has received 10 more specialists who have now been posted to various medical institutions across the state. Their deployment will accelerate health services and ensure better healthcare facilities for the public,” stated Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat.
