DEHRADUN, 23 Nov: District Magistrate Savin Bansal, on Friday addressed a press conference at Rishiparna Auditorium Collectorate. During this interaction, the DM announced that an action plan is underway to improve and beautify intersections in the city to enhance the traffic system. The upgradation of intersections will not only stramline the traffic system but also develop and beautify them in keeping with the culturally and traditionally significant places of the state.
Bansal shared that a comprehensive plan aims in its first phasse, to control accidents and promote local culture at three main places in the heart of the city. These spots are Dilaram Chowk, Sai Mandir Junction, and Kuthal Gate.
Chief Development Officer of Dehradun district, Abhinav Shah stated that the roads will be improved with a view to ensure road safety. Additionally, the intersections will be beautified through art, displaying the culture of the state in the construction of the squares. This will include artwork reflecting folk traditions, cultural heritage, and religious and scenic places. City Magistrate Pratyush Singh added that, in line with the instructions of the District Magistrate, a plan has been made to improve and beautify the roads and intersections with a focus on road safety.
