Dehradun, 20 Aug: Bringing smiles and laughter to the lives of children and adults with Down Syndrome, Pallav Divyang Development Trust organised a lively and engaging game programme today at the Multi-Sports Arena in Nawada, here. Priyanshu Painyuli, the renowned actor famously known for his role in the OTT series ‘Mirzapur 2’, was present on the occasion. The event took place during his visit to the city.
Pallav Divyang Development Trust, an initiative led by Priyanshu’s father, Col VK Painyuli (Retd), and his family, aims to create awareness and provide support to children and adults with Down Syndrome and special needs. Founded in Dehradun, the organisation is committed to fostering, understanding and inclusivity for those with special needs.
The event provided a platform for children and adults with special needs to partake in joyful games and activities.
Priyanshu Painyuli stated, “This initiative was inspired by my brother, Pallav Painyuli, who, while growing up in Bengaluru as a Down syndrome kid, learned many skills which helped him lead a confident life. I have seen many adults with special needs like Pallav who can achieve great heights if they are provided with proper skill sets. We aim to enrich and help individuals with special needs and their families in Dehradun to bring a change in their lives. The enthusiasm and positivity radiated by these wonderful kids today was truly heartwarming. It’s essential to create moments of happiness and inclusivity, and I’m grateful to be part of this endeavour and will always give my best to keep it growing.”
Col VK Painyuli (Retd), the driving force behind Pallav Divyang Development Trust, added, “Our mission is to create a society where everyone is embraced and supported, regardless of their disabilities. Today’s event is a step towards that vision.”
