Dehradun, 15 Apr: Vice-Chancellor of Soban Singh Jeena University, Prof Satpal Singh Bisht presented the “Vidhi Sahayogi” mobile application before Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd), here, today.
It was stated that “Vidhi Sahayogi” is an AI-enabled mobile application developed with the objective of providing legal information to the general public in simple language, creating awareness about their rights, and making access to legal assistance easier. Through this app, users will be able to gain information on legal topics, access study materials, and contact advocates when required.
During the presentation, it was pointed out that future updates will include features such as online consultation, case tracking, document management, and integration with government schemes. The Vice-Chancellor stated that the app is currently under development and will be launched soon.
The Governor congratulated the team and students involved in developing the app and appreciated their efforts. He said that such innovations play a significant role in enhancing legal awareness in society and empowering people.
He also directed that the app should be regularly updated and improved to ensure its continued usefulness and effectiveness. The Governor emphasised the need for wide publicity of the app so that more people can benefit from it. He also suggested organising awareness workshops before its launch.
The occasion was attended by Secretary to the Governor, Ravinath Raman, Legal Advisor Kaushal Kishore Shukla, and Additional Secretary Reena Joshi.
