DEHRADUN, 10 July: The Airborne Infection Control Team conducted a thorough inspection at Himalayan Hospital Jollygrant. The team members reported that the health facilities provided to the patients in the hospital were satisfactory.
Dr Rakhi Khanduri, head of the Chest and Respiratory Diseases Department at Himalayan Hospital Jollygrant, stated that the team members inspected the DR-TB Center established in India. The nodal DR-TB Center has been established at Himalayan Hospital since 2011. In this context, the team of experts from the Airborne Infection Control Team visited Himalayan Hospital Jollygrant. They were welcomed by Dr Hemchandra Pandey (Director of Health Services), Dr Rajesh Maheshwari, Dr (Brigadier) RS Saini (Retd) and Dr Sushant Khanduri (Nodal Officer of Drug Resistant TB). Following this, the team members conducted a thorough inspection of various areas in the hospital, including OPD, wards, bronchoscopy, RICU, lab, and registration site. During the inspection, the team members were fully satisfied with the infection control measures, cleanliness, and health facilities provided to the patients in the hospital.
Dr Barnali Kakoti, Dr Garima Mittal, Dr Aarti, Dr Shaili Vyas, Engineer Girish Uniyal, Rupesh Mehrotra, Balwant Singh, and others from Himalayan Hospital were present during this time.
Members of the Airborne Infection Control Team Dr Anu George, Dr Ashwini Khanna, Dr Vikas Sabharwal, Engineer Setu Verma, Dr Prashant Chaudhary, and Dr Bipra Vishnu were present during the inspection.
