Uttaranchal University pays tribute to Martyrs of Kathua

Dehradun 10 Aug: Uttaranchal University today paid heartfelt tribute to the immortal martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in Kathua, J&K.

At a meeting convened by the President of the University, Jitendra Joshi, all the officers, teachers, employees, and NCC students gathered at the Shaurya Wall. Joshi said that whenever there is need, the soldiers of the army are ready to make the supreme sacrifice for the sake of protecting the country. Everyone said in one voice that they salute the sacrifice of the martyrs.

Wreaths were offered by putting the photo of the martyrs on the Shaurya Wall. On this occasion, slogans like ‘Kathua Ke Shaheed Amar Rahe’, Rifleman Adarsh Negi Amar Rahe’, ‘Naib Subedar Anand Singh Rawat Amar Rahe’, ‘Havildar Kamal Singh Amar Rahe’, ‘Rifleman Anuj Negi Amar Rahe’, ‘Lance Naik Vinod Singh Amar Rahe’, were raised. The atmosphere resonated with these slogans and everyone became emotional.

On this occasion, the Vice President of the University, Ankita Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof Dharm Buddhi, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Rajesh Bahuguna, Prof Pradeep Suri, Prof Poonam Rawat, Prof Shravan Kumar, Prof Sumit Chaudhary, Dr Manish Baduni, Prof Sonal Sharma, Prof Ajay Singh, Prof MP Singh, Dr Anil Godiyal, Dr Ramveer Singh, Lt Nitin Duklan and Sarveshwar Prasad were among those present.
