Dehradun, 11 Dec: The Dehradun district administration has claimed that in compliance with the instructions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, various road safety works in the district are progressing rapidly. This includes the construction of speed breakers, zebra crossings, and dividers to improve road safety. The District Magistrate is personally monitoring the road safety efforts to ensure they meet the norms.

Construction of dividers is advancing swiftly on Rajpur Road to control speeding and ensure safer road crossings. The installation of dividers aims to streamline traffic flow and enhance road safety. The district administration has shared that the speed breakers have been installed on Sai Mandir Road and near Mussoorie Max Hospital, effectively reducing the high speed of two-wheelers and vehicles and alleviating noise pollution.

Sub-District Magistrate/Nodal Officer Kumkum Joshi and Executive Engineer Jitendra Tripathi are overseeing the road safety work on-site, ensuring adherence to standards. Speed breaker, zebra crossing, and stop line work have been implemented at various locations and squares in the city.

Work on removing old, dilapidated dividers and installing new ones on Rajpur Road is also underway. Following the District Magistrate’s instructions, road safety work is being completed to standard on a war footing, it was further claimed.
