Almora’s Singdha Tiwari invited to INECLO’s International Conference

Dehradun, 11 Apr: Advocate Snigdha Tiwari, a resident of Almora, will participate in the international conference of International Network for Civil Liberties Organisation (INECLO). The conference will start from 16 April in Prague (Czech Republic). She is daughter of social and political activist PC Tewari.

Snigdha has been specially invited by INECLO to participate in the conference. She will leave for Europe to participate in this convention on 14 April. It may be recalled that Snigdha Tiwari is a practicing lawyer at the Nainital High Court. The International Conference will be held from 16 to 18 April in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic.

The International Network for Civil Liberties Organisation (INECLO) is an international group of 15 leading civil liberties organisations from around the world, which has been actively working at the international level to fight climate change and human rights abuses, as well as for citizens’ right to privacy. INECLO advocates for in-depth study of major issues and cases around the world and presenting them in the ICJ and the United Nations General Assembly.

Snigdha Tiwari has been appointed as an advisor by INECLO in the judicial and other cases going on behalf of this group in the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Snigdha Tiwari is the daughter of social activist PC Tiwari. Snigdha has been advocating for human rights, climate change, acid attack survivors, street vendors, Nanisar, Joshimath land subsidence and weaker and deprived sections of the society in the Uttarakhand High Court for a long time. She has in the past too participated in several global conferences on issues of environment, climate change, etc. Various social organisations in the state have expressed happiness over her participation.
